RACE UPDATE – SPA FRANCORCHAMPS

The Ferrari Challenge weekend at Spa kicked off on Friday 5th, when drivers Torbjörn Ekstrand, Christian Kinch and Tommy Lindroth attended the official event test at the classic Belgian track. Each of them were having their first run at this challenging track all having the rare luck to drive in sunny conditions!

With the the drivers needing to get acclimatised to the track, there wasn’t much time to spare during the two test sessions but the team completed its programme with all four drivers comfortable in their cars the end of the test. Fastest during the test was Torbjörn Ekstarnd having the second fastest time of the day only 0,3 of a second behind the leader, however, and all set a good pace around the daunting seven-kilometre Spa track.

There are two qualifying sessions tomorrow at 09.00 and 12.05, followed by Race 1 at 16.25, while one has to wait until Sunday for the final race, which takes place at 10.20.

The two Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli races will be shown live and replayed by 13 European broadcasters in over 60 countries, while in Italy the event is covered by Sky Italia with replays of the two races over the course of the week.
